I have seen a summer's day,
And I have seen a winter's night,
I have seen the shining moon,
I have seen the sun glow bright.
I have seen the laughing flowers,
Swaying in the breeze,
And I have seen the dying oak,
Fall upon his knees.
I have walked along a road,
And seen the grass beside,
And I have seen the ragged rocks,
Argue with the tide.
I have seen a deep dark lake,
Holding secrets tight,
And I have seen the bats above,
Dancing in the night.
I have seen the birds at dawn,
In the trees so high,
And I have heard that graceful sound,
They make to wake the sky.
Yet nothing I have seen compares,
To something I saw when,
On Summer Solstice morn last year,
The Sun rose high on Avebury Henge.
